New: Buddhist Chanting & Meditation

Thursday Nights 7-8 pm

Chanting practice group will begin with the refuge chant. Followed by a brief description of the visualization and meditation process, we will chant the Om Ah Hung mantra (45 minutes) and meditate afterwards (15 minutes). This mantra is the essence of enlightenment and compassion and a core mantra of Tibetan Buddhism. This practice comes through empowerment into the Nyingma Tibetan Vajrayana School under the guidance of Bhakha Tulku Rinpoche.

If interest is taken in this group, after three months of accumulation of this practice, for the benefit of all the members of ADMC and all Sentient Beings, we can change the practice to the famous Chenrezig  Avalokiteshvara Mantra and then Green Tara Practice as given by the Empowerment and Guidance of Rinpoche Gursam.

The vision of the Appalachian Dharma & Meditation Center is to facilitate a community of Buddhist practice that fosters the integration of wisdom and compassion. Our aim, as individuals and as a community, is to cultivate insight into the nature of mind and reality and overcome ego-orientated ways of being. We are a nonsectarian Buddhist center that offers weekly programs in Taoism and Western Buddhism.
