ADMC message concerning COVID-19 (coronavirus)

Dear ADMC Members and Friends,

With our local and global community faced with growing concern about COVID-19 we at Appalachian Dharma and Meditation Center feel that it is necessary to cancel all classes and groups for the upcoming week. We are currently exploring how we can use technology to keep in touch with our Dharma family and will keep you posted.

In this time of global concern our connection and interdependence are apparent, though we may be required to be physically separate from each other. This is a shared experience and provides an excellent opportunity to extend loving kindness and compassion to ourselves and fellow beings.

Earlier in the week I read an article that suggested reciting a loving kindness mantra during hand washing (a couple of repetitions is approximately 20 seconds):

May all beings be happy

May all beings be healthy

May all beings be at ease

As circumstances evolve, ADMC will as well.

If you have any questions please reach out on Facebook or email mail@dharma4et.org.

On behalf of the board of directors and with Metta,

ADMC President, 2020
